Vectren Sales Department

Vectren’s Industrial Sales team is a key part of Vectren’s economic development efforts, lending its technical expertise and personalized assistance to companies from the beginning of the site selection process and beyond.

The group’s Account Managers – assigned to specific regions throughout Vectren’s Indiana and Ohio service area – work in close partnership with Vectren Economic Development’s staff to ensure prospective customers’ electric and/or natural gas needs are met. The Account Managers remain the point of contact for customers and assist them with their future energy requirements and day-to-day responsibilities.

  • Determining a company’s estimated energy usage
    Vectren’s Industrial Account Managers meet with companies during the initial stages of the site selection process to help estimate their electric and/or natural gas usage via completion of a project load worksheet.  This worksheet is used to estimate energy costs and determine if any infrastructure upgrades will be necessary in order to serve the customer.     
  • Serving as a technical liaison for the customer
    The Sales team serves as a link between the customer and Vectren’s engineering, design, construction and operation groups.  The Account Managers use their technical knowledge of the electric and natural gas business to create a seamless process for all parties during the infrastructure development phase.
  • Suggesting methods to use energy more efficiently
    Energy costs are a concern for many companies today.  Vectren’s Account Managers can work with existing businesses to look for ways to improve efficiency, resulting in significant savings for companies that are operating in a competitive global marketplace.
  • Remaining a point-of-contact for future energy needs
    The Sales group maintains a close working relationship with its customers.  Prospective companies can depend upon Vectren’s Industrial Account Managers to provide support for their future electric and/or natural gas requirements.
