Labor Force

Ohio has one of the largest labor forces in the nation, with more than 5.9 million workers.  The Ohio Department of Development is committed to preparing the state’s workers to meet the needs of Ohio’s businesses through its Workforce and Talent Division, whose initiatives include the Ohio Workforce Guarantee and the Ohio Third Frontier Internship Program

The Dayton region is also home to a large and skilled labor force, with a total civilian labor force totaling nearly 425,000.
